How To Create a New Journal
To create a new journal, click File > New Journal, or press Command-Option-N.
How To Open a Journal
To open a journal, click File > Open Journal..., or press Command-O, locate the journal on your disk and click Open.
How To Save a Journal
To save a journal, click File > Save, or press Command-S.
How To Add a new entry
Select the day you want to add an entry to if it's not selected yet. Then click [+] button, or click Entry > Add, or press Command-N.
How To Remove an Entry
Find the entry you want to delete, select it and click Entry > Delete.
How To Insert an Image
Locate the image you want to insert with Finder, Photos or any other program that allows you to drag images, then drag and drop into the editor of entry (you should have created or opened an entry before doing this).
Alternatively, click Insert > Choose Image... and select the image you want to insert.
How To Insert a Quick Drawing
Make sure you're in the entry editor. Click Insert > Quick Drawing. After you finish drawing, click Insert.
How To Search for Entries
Start typing the text into the search field. The calendar will disappear and you'll be presented with search results.
You can click on entries in search results to preview or edit them, or double-click to go back to the calendar and jump to the entry creation date.
How To Export Entries or Journals
Click File > Export.... Type the name of the file to export, then select the export format (RTFD is the recommended one), and what entries you'd like to export (all entries, current entry, or entries for defined period). Click Export to proceed.
How to Encrypt a Journal
Click File > Encrypt..., check Enable encryption, then enter password and repeat it. Click Encrypt.
